Proud to Help Ocean County Children Battle Cancer
Back and Neck Center Donates $3,000 to an Amazing Cause
You may listen to 105.7 the Hawk to hear your favorite classic rock songs, but did you know that every year they team up with a local charity to raise thousands of much needed dollars to help Ocean County families battle Childhood Cancer.
Every year, The Hawk’s Andy Chase agrees to essentially camp out in the Target/Lowes parking lot in Toms River to raise funds for the Ocean of Love Charity. Andy proclaims that he will not come down from his raised campgrounds until they can successfully raise $105,700. This is never an easy task and with the Covid-19 outbreak, the pressure was even greater to meet this goal. Incredibly, not only did they meet the goal, they surpassed it and raised a staggering $155,625!
Ocean of Love is a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping Ocean County children battle cancer. They provide financial and emotional support to both ill children and their families during this difficult time.
Proud to Participate
When we heard about the Ocean of Love Charity and what it stands for, we immediately thought of ways that we could contribute. So we took our patient co-pays in the weeks leading up to the Billboard Radiothon event, matched them and then donated the grand total amount of $3,000!
Unfortunately, we all know someone that has been touched by cancer, but when it’s a child, we must all dig a little deeper to do our part. The hope is that our small gestures can come together to make a big difference to make a difficult time a little easier.
If you couldn’t attend the 105.7 Billboard Radiothon event, you can still make a donation to this amazing local organization, click here.
We’d like to send out a big THANK YOU to 105.7 The Hawk for running this amazing event! We plan to participate every year!
