Dr. Eric Mundie, D.C.
Dr. Mundie grew up in Jackson and first became a chiropractic patient of at the age of 12 after a Tae Kwon Do incident that caused him to have a case of whiplash. Chiropractic care was able to help quickly, helping Dr. Mundie’s body to heal in just a few days. Dr. Mundie attended Jackson Memorial high school and was the captain of the swim team while he was there, it was this that kept him coming in for the next few years, as he saw a direct relationship between his swimming times and chiropractic care. He noticed that when he was adjusted and his nervous system was operating as best as it could, his times would drop by up to one second in each race. It was this increase in performance that convinced Dr. Mundie that this was the career that he wanted to pursue.
Dr. Mundie received his bachelors degree in athletic training from Marist College in Poughkeepsie NY. During that time he was able to work with Division I football and basketball, as well as Division II softball and women’s lacrosse. He also worked with multiple different high schools in the Hudson valley of New York, covering sports from baseball, football, ice hockey, soccer, track and cross country, he was also invited to work both the Boston and New York Marathons as medical staff.
After graduating from Marist College, Dr. Mundie attended Life University for his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. While there he worked with their national champion men’s rugby team, and was also asked to travel to Russia with the US National Wrestling team where he was their only medical support for a 10 day trip, that included two different tournaments. While at Life University, he was asked to help teach the extremity adjusting classes and was an instructor for many different clubs on campus. He also began a course of study in Functional Neurology to better treat patients with concussions and other neurologically based conditions that have not responded to other more traditional treatments.
Dr. Mundie is excited to come back to the Jersey shore and help treat the patients and community that began him down this path when he was in high school.
